You can configure your AI Receptionist’s name, tone, and style in order to customize how it communicates with customers. This article explains how to do this.

Note

It’s important to set all applicable attributes so that your receptionist is consistent. This includes when you decide to make changes, e.g. updating the receptionist’s name. If you set the name but forget to also update the greetings for example, your receptionist will still introduce themselves with the old name in the greeting.

Accessing the AI Receptionist settings

  • Log in to your IONOS account.
  • Click on Menu > AI Receptionist in the title bar. The AI Agent Portal opens.
  • Click on Customer Portal under Actions for the desired receptionist. The Dashboard opens.
  • Click on Settings from the left-side menu.

From here, you can search for any attribute you would like to update in the search field at the top (Search by idn, title, group).

Updating the name, greetings, and tone of voice

Inside of the AI Receptionist’s Settings page, search for the following attributes, and update them according to the rules and examples:

project_representative_agent_chat_speaking_style Sets the tone and style for chats. Friendly and welcoming.
project_representative_agent_voice_speaking_style Sets the tone of voice and style for phone calls. Informative and helpful.

Note

You can also include an accent to be used for the project_representative_agent_voice_speaking_style attribute. However, keep in mind that not all accents are available in all languages, and some may sound different than expected.

Example:

Professional businesswoman, very welcoming. Speak quickly and energetically. Speak with a British accent.
